Events
The SLO Food Bank hosts several large-scale annual events that unite the community in the mission to alleviate hunger. Sponsoring an event is a powerful way for your company to partner with us, providing crucial financial support needed to provide nutritious meals to our neighbors across San Luis Obispo County. These partnerships also provide an opportunity for your business to gain awareness with a philanthropic audience.
Matching Gifts
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions or volunteer hours made by their employees. To find out if your company has a matching gift policy, please ask your Human Resources Department.
If your company is eligible, request a matching gift form from your employer, and send it completed and signed with your gift. We will do the rest. The impact of your gift to SLO Food Bank may be doubled or possibly tripled! Some companies match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses.
Payroll Deduction
A popular method of employee giving is a payroll deduction program. Some employers additionally offer a match opportunity to double the positive impact in the community. Your HR department can set up a system where your employees can choose to designate a specific amount from their paycheck to support the nonprofits of their choice. Employees may opt to do so as a one-time gift or on a recurring basis!
Through employee payroll deductions, every dollar contributed not only helps alleviate hunger through SLO Food Bank but also enhances your company’s goodwill and employee retention.
