Mike, CFA, CPA-Inactive has served as the Chief Executive Officer of SESLOC Credit Union since June 2024. In this role, he is responsible for promoting the financial well-being of SESLOC’s membership and employees while also ensuring the cooperative’s financial stability and support for those communities in which it operates. Prior to this, he served as SESLOC’s Chief Financial Officer since February 2020. His career spans 33 years, all within the cooperative-structured Credit Union industry.

Prior to joining SESLOC, he served as SVP/CFO for Seattle Credit Union (2017 – 2020) and VP Treasury/Finance for BECU (2004 – 2017) in Seattle. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Vermont. Prior non-profit Board positions include Habitat for Humanity Seattle/SKC (2007 – 2012) and Mentor Washington (2015 – 2020). He chooses to support the SLO Food Bank because Credit Unions have a common philosophy of ‘people helping people’ which evolved from their origins as the only option for those individuals looking for borrowing and saving opportunities. This philosophy is very important to Mike, and he is honored to be a part of such a fantastic organization that allows him to support his local community as well as play a small role in helping to alleviate hunger in the entirety of SLO County.
