Join us for the annual SLO County Turkey Trot, an uplifting event dedicated to supporting holiday meals and providing nourishment to those experiencing hunger. This Thanksgiving morning, participate in our Turkey Trot to support the right to food for all your neighbors in San Luis Obispo County.

Exclusive Trot Merch!

Register by midnight on November 25, and your registration will include the option to choose between an exclusive event t-shirt or a bandana. After that date, only bandanas will be available, as supplies last. Preferred sizes and merchandise are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

How long is the Turkey Trot in Pismo Beach?

The SLO County Turkey Trot starting at the Pismo Beach Pier is a 2-mile on the beach. You can find the course map here!

What does my registration and donations support?

The SLO County Turkey Trot event supports hunger-relief in San Luis Obispo County. By participating or donating, you are providing nourishing meals for our neighbors in need.

When will I receive my donation receipt?

You will receive your donation confirmation soon after completing your donation. Your receipt will come in a separate email.

How do I volunteer?

If you’re interested in volunteering at the event, please email [email protected].

Is my registration or donation tax-deductible?

The SLO Food Bank is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and your registration is tax-deductible minus the value of the items received. All donations are fully tax-deductible. To claim a part of your registration as a deduction on your U.S. taxes, please keep your email donation receipt as your official record.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes! Dogs are welcome. You don’t need to register your dog, but please keep them on a leash for the entire event.

Are strollers allowed?

Of course! Please note that you’ll need to navigate compact sand and carry the stroller down a set of stairs to the beach.

What happens if it's raining?

Our SLO County Turkey Trot will happen rain or shine, please prepare accordingly to your comfort needs.

What is the refund policy?

We do not offer refunds for any reason; your registration fee will be considered a tax-deductible donation to our organization.
